Parkey's FG miss that cost game officially changed to block

After the 26-year-old's massive miss, which followed his three successful kicks from 36, 29, and 34 yards to keep Chicago in the game, Parkey took full responsibility for the loss in the locker room by simply saying, "I feel bad".

Parkey can rest easy knowing it was blocked first. When I saw it going in, I turned back around [away from the goal posts].

Parkey even said after the game he thought he hit the ball well.

Cody Parkey is no longer going to be credited with a missed field goal at the end of the Chicago Bears-Philadelphia Eagles NFC Wild Card game on Sunday night.

Parkey, who hit the uprights four times in a row in a November game against the Lions, made no excuses for his miss after the Bears were eliminated from the playoffs in a 16-15 loss to the Eagles at Soldier Field. Initially, it was ruled a simple missed kick. "Then I heard everybody screaming, I was like, oh, [expletive]. he missed it".

It still hurts, and I think this one may hurt for a while. "I feel awful. I let the team down".

"The sun's gonna shine tomorrow, life's gonna go on, and unfortunately it's gonna sting for a while". "There's really no answer to it".

"Me and Haloti [Ngata]. we got penetration, got the hand up like coach always says", Hester said, via the Philadelphia Daily News.

"I can't make this up".

"I 100% take that loss on me".

For the record, the kick in question was tipped at the line of scrimmage.
